Many of us have visited the wonderful gardens that are open under the National Garden Scheme (NGS) in the U.K.  Unfortunately due to the current circumstances with Covid 19  we are unable to do so. But fear not, many of the gardens can be visited online with the NGS Virtual Garden Visits.

The NGS says:-

The National Garden Scheme gives visitors unique access to over 3,700 exceptional private gardens in England and Wales, and raises impressive amounts of money for nursing and health charities through admissions, teas and cake.
Thanks to the generosity of garden owners, volunteers and visitors we have donated a total of £58 million to nursing and health charities and made an annual donation of £3 million in 2019. Our core beneficiaries include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.

The National Garden Scheme doesn’t just open beautiful gardens for charity – we are passionate about the physical and mental health benefits of gardens too. We also support charities doing amazing work in gardens and health and grant bursaries to help community gardening projects.

In the current Coronavirus crisis, when our beautiful gardens are closed, the National Garden Scheme and its garden owners are working to bring the gardens to life for you with virtual garden visits, gardening tips and great stories. With our gardens closed, our nursing and health beneficiaries face an 80% reduction in our support at a time when they need it most. So if you enjoy this content please consider making a donation to help us to help them.

When you click on the Virtual Garden Visits you will be given the opportunity to donate.
