Springtime: we all look forward to it. With pre-forced bulbs, you can bring spring into your home early, even when it’s still cold and grey outside. Pre-forced bulbs, also known as spring bulbs or flowering bulbs, are flower bulbs that have already been grown and are sold in a grower’s pot. They are a great way to enjoy these cheerful flowers immediately.

Varieties

Pre-forced bulbs that are available include grape hyacinths (Muscari), hyacinths (Hyacinthus), daffodils (Narcissus), crocuses (Crocus) and tulips (Tulipa). The different colours and varieties make a vibrant and colourful addition to your home. They all bring that sense of cheerfulness that is so typical of springtime.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use

The great thing about pre-forced bulbs is that they are easy to care for and will flower fairly quickly. All they need to start flowering is some water and a little sunlight. It is best to put the bulbs on the windowsill or table or another spot in the house where they will get enough light. If you forgot to plant your bulbs in autumn, you can still plant pre-forced bulbs in the garden or put them on your patio in a pretty pot or bowl. This is a great way to add some colour to a still drab-looking garden.

Springtime feeling

At the end of winter, flowering bulbous plants create a real springtime feeling. They add loads of cheer so you can enjoy the beautiful colours and scents of nature, even if we still have to wait a while for the warmer weather outside. So, bring some cheerful pre-forced bulbs into your home and garden and enjoy the happy arrival of spring early!
